Airport fiasco disaster at Heathrow
The airport debacle with travellers LOSING OUT BEGINS WITH
POOR SOFTWARE TESTING FOR PROBLEMS AND ISSUES.
I WROTE A PROGRAM FOR MY HND PROGRAMMING ASSIGNMENT AND
SHOWED HOW DIFFICULT IT WAS TO SIMULATE PLANES LANDING AND TAKING OFF WITHIN A TIGHT,
SAY, 5-MINUTE WINDOW FOR EACH PLANE. My program never crashed; it's not rocket science, but it still
requires strong coding skills. I tested it by simulating an airport for over 1
year, and it never crashed. I still have the program software from this
testing.
Airport Disaster
Cancellations and lost flights for thousands
of passengers. To me, it sounds like poor testing of software for problems and
issues. Nothing new here; most software is not tested, from my experience, and
I live with it every day. It's crap testing at fault here.
